when I install Fedora with live usb, I got an error with display and it stucked when playmouth / boot process so I add in grub command

command
1
nouveau.modeset=0

or if command abouve does not work, use nomodeset

command
1
nomodeset

after successfully booting, add rpmfusion repo

command
1
su -c 'dnf install http://download1.rpmfusion.org/free/fedora/rpmfusion-free-release-$(rpm -E %fedora).noarch.rpm http://download1.rpmfusion.org/nonfree/fedora/rpmfusion-nonfree-release-$(rpm -E %fedora).noarch.rpm'

install akmod-nvidia

command
1
sudo dnf install xorg-x11-drv-nvidia akmod-nvidia "kernel-devel-uname-r == $(uname -r)"

blacklist nouveau driver from booting with add rd.driver.blacklist=nouveau modprobe.blacklist=nouveau rd.driver.blacklist=nouveau in GRUB_CMD_LINUX row in /etc/default/grub file, so your config would be like this

command
1
2
3
4
5
6
7
GRUB_TIMEOUT=5
GRUB_DISTRIBUTOR="$(sed 's, release .*$,,g' /etc/system-release)"
GRUB_DEFAULT=saved
GRUB_DISABLE_SUBMENU=true
GRUB_TERMINAL_OUTPUT="console"
GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX="rd.driver.blacklist=nouveau modprobe.blacklist=nouveau rd.driver.blacklist=nouveau rhgb quiet"
GRUB_DISABLE_RECOVERY="true"

then run

command
1
sudo grub2-mkconfig -o /boot/grub2/grub.cfg

and reboot. Then you can check your driver card installed for your VGA by

command
1
sudo lshw -c video

If you had a problem with your disk prerformance or IO performance (could checked by command atop, iotop, or lamp indicator is never blinking and the process is laggy) try to change method on your scheduler by running a command

command
1
su -c "echo noop > /sys/block/sda/queue/scheduler"

and add elevator=noop in GRUB_CMD_LINUX row in /etc/default/grub file, so your config would be like this

command
1
2
3
4
5
6
7
GRUB_TIMEOUT=5
GRUB_DISTRIBUTOR="$(sed 's, release .*$,,g' /etc/system-release)"
GRUB_DEFAULT=saved
GRUB_DISABLE_SUBMENU=true
GRUB_TERMINAL_OUTPUT="console"
GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX="rd.driver.blacklist=nouveau modprobe.blacklist=nouveau rd.driver.blacklist=nouveau elevator=noop rhgb quiet"
GRUB_DISABLE_RECOVERY="true"

then run

command
1
sudo grub2-mkconfig -o /boot/grub2/grub.cfg

and reboot.

If you had wifi case, your wifi suddenly could not connet internet but if you reconnect your wifi it temporary connect and then not connect again, you should run

command
1
sudo iwconfig wlp2s0 power off

*wlp2s0 is my network interface, your network interface could be different with mine so you could check your wireless interface by use “ifconfig”
